I spent almost all yesterday writing initial emails to folks to ask them to be on clearness committees. I can easily spend all day today on library committee work, and, in fact, i should.
Meanwhile, Pennyroyal arrived less than twenty-four hours after ordering. I'm so glad i didn't pay for express shipping! It shipped with the latest Mac software, but it's not installed. So, have this to do:( details )
It's supposed to be hot today -- wait, no "much cooler." I eye the weather prediction skeptically. Yesterday did get up to 91°, and a record was set at the SFO airport. Christine got over-warm but somehow i managed to stay comfortable. Today is supposed to be 81°, so i should do some cooking to prepare for the temperatures that peak with a predicted 101° on Tuesday. It sounds like we have extremely low humidity due to winds blowing from the dry inland regions out to sea. Winds like these would make for the most beautiful waves at Ocean Beach.
Oh, library committee work. I think it's because it is so impossible & overwhelming*, it's hard to motivate myself. *There was a lot of talking with no action for some years so "deferred maintenance" is what we've been doing. While we made a great deal of progress last year, we still have lots to go.
