TUESDAY: I woke too early, knocking over my thermos mug and spilling a bit. I rested in the dark for a half hour or so, until my wake alarm (which was going to be an early 5 am, anyhow) went off. The tea water seemed to need extra time to brew.

Oh, Edward is so restless and so am i. My 9 am call has been moved to lunch time.

How do i balance looking forward across the year to see useful things -- like March, June, July and October aren't crowded at the onset -- with the gasping panic of a need for rest?

The happiest things right now? Both a June work conference and a Feb 2011 Friends conference will be in NC, satisfying my desire to combine travel across the country with a chance to see family (and friends and Friends in the area!).

WEDNESDAY: I think i went to sleep early-ish, but i ended up oversleeping as well. Bother.

This morning, scanning email and LJ and the news, there are so many broken relationships: broad societal divisions from kierarchical* abuse separating individuals, tensions of how care for our weak should be expressed (who pays? who cares?), divisions of personality in community, simple grief and loss.

Joy lurks.

* this is misspelled and i can't find a source for the neologism that tries to express how "patriarchy" is insufficient to describe overlapping layers of privilege and oppression.
