I'd spent some time reading a novel that involved the Black Death today. I probably had a bit too vivid a sense of lancing festering boils in mind as i wrote.

Yes, there is much unresolved in my mother's and her siblings' relationship with their father. He'd been more and more verbally abusive of them over these last few years, comparing them to his second wife's daughters and claiming how none of his own children cared for him.

I don't know what else i can do but visualize the cool refreshment of Grace and listen to my mother as she feels her way through this time.
