My body has let me know that my heavy reaction to most of that was probably (early!) PMS.

It sounds as if my friend and her daughter have come through the very scary parts. My friend has someone living with her who will, i suspect, help make sure she's eating. So, figuring out the next steps in care taking are on my list.
