I hadn't heard over-provisioned either and was confused.

Re moss propagation; i read a bit about this shortly after moving here. The really good site is now only via the wayback machine. The most important thing i think i learned was that transplanted mosses need help making close contact with the soil: standing, walking on the transplants HELPS them. it's a little hard to read the wayback version of the page but it is really useful. I think the company was in Raleigh, so it was good local info.
