Watching one red-bellied woodpecker try to get the last seeds out of the feeder while a second was on the ground underneath probing at the rocks.

Female cardinal, junco, tufted titmouse, chickadee....

Marlowe is entranced. I guess i should go add seeds.

Oooh, wonderful birding time for you!!

A few days ago I saw the brightest-red cardinal I've ever seen in our hedge. Didn't have my cell phone on me, of course.

I've been leaving out bits of cotton thread from teabags, craft projects, and unraveling towels for nesting material in our bushes for the birds.
