I like the Lord of the Rings movies quite well, but for me the books are much better. I like the Hobbit movies much less than the Lord of the Rings movies, and again the books are much better.

But then, I can only think of a couple of movies that I thought were better than their books.
One that comes to mind is The World According to Garp.
