The apple picker worked appropriately. The second apple i tested was pickable. It's covered with sooty blotch and "fly speck" -- apparently merely aesthetic failures -- and about 5.3 oz. I'm wondering if it's a Grimes Golden: it's kinda hard to get the color (green or gold) from under the soot, but apparently Grimes Golden can self-pollinate? Which would explain how it managed to fruit. It's got a little russeting.

I think Christine's had a good day and that may help her wellbeing. I've been comfy on the couch and pretty relaxed all day, myself. Hope your weekend is going well, too!
