I'm so sorry about what Edward is going through. The appetite stimulant I've used with Dutch (who had some chronic pancreatitis a while back, but has not reocurred in recent memory) is mirtazapine gel, which gets applied to his ear. They really need to eat, and his mood improved when he wasn't feeling so crappy.
