Day off Challenge #1
I am utterly mystified by The Freecycle Network and "truly free freecycling." Why two different groups?
So, my "truly free freecycling" "original local group" says they use Grouply to support managing posts. So i toddle on over to Grouply and they want my yahoo userID and password. WTF?

http://www.freecycle.org/ is as slower than molasses. The UI was not intuitive, but i think it "get it" now. Are they evil?
Meanwhile, I am frustrated by limited options for properly disposing paint. Not only do you make an appointment, but you also have to specify how much of specifically what you are taking. So my idea that maybe i'd see if others needed stuff taken falls flat (MAXIMUM of 15 liquid gallons in the car) I spoke with someone at (408)299-7300 and they really do want to know what you're bringing, but i think i could call and make an appointment and then follow up call if i have more stuff.
It really seems that that's the only way to get rid of paint properly.
OK, here's a plan: today: list the below with the easier-to-use evil Freecycle people & people on my meeting list & local folks. If not disposed of by Monday, post a notice saying i'll be going to the late August hazardous waste day and can take stuff, given specific quantities and materials.
Anyone want this stuff?
1 gal Cabot Decking Stain 7444 Driftwood gray, mostly full
1 qt Benjamin Moore Wood conditioner, half full?
1 qt Benjamin Moore Acrylic Primer, white, half full?
1 qt can, no label, mostly full
1 qt Benjamin Moore, penetrating stain, half full, Dark Walnut
1 qt, Benjamin Moore, Premium Interior Lates, Semi-gloss AquaGlo white
