Whatever i planned for early awakening and early start hasn't quite unfolded as i held out for myself as a goal. If procrastination is why i folded the laundry that had dried on the rack, it was a good thing. I tried to use that as a meditation time. I need to remember to practice deep breathing today.

OK, technically i write about time today. On "Goals Check-In: Week 2.57 of 17 (Summer/Autumn)"

I've work travel scheduled for the end of August (and a very quick weekend with my parents), DONE and expect work travel at the end of mid September. I'm planning to tie a trip with Christine to NC to that September/October travel: we will see family. She will not have been east in almost a year. Christine's going to go east on her own, probably. I'm going to hope my brother can route the 'rents through SFO on their winter trip to see him.

My time off resources: 11 vacation days†, the Q2 & Q3 personal days (did i mean Q3 & Q4?), and Labor Day.

* Spent 1 V and the Q3 PD on July 15-16.
* DONE: Take two around 12 & 13 August [spent 3 V, 1 PD]
* DONEish: The Friday travel day Aug 20 should be a work day, so no vacation days currently associated with the August travel. I should expect to set aside one for sanity (even though i return on a weekend). -- i took a sick half day, it turns out.
* DONE: Sep 6 is Labor Day; take a vacation day as well [Spent 4 V]

* Set aside five days for the Sept/Oct travel.
* 1 vacation day and Q3 PD are unallocated
* 14 days for 85 workdays ⇒ every sixth day off; every ninth day not counting the 5 day vacation.
† leaving the ten day reserve for emergencies

Should i take a week vacation? I guess we did talk a little about both of us going back to NC. The long weekends are good for me, i think.

Nothing calming here, and certainly procrastinating at this point.
