Crazy Brain

Crazy Brain, example

When you feel physically not so well; see the doctor for a follow up on some issues; have her cheerfully remind you there is no cure, just maintenance; demonstrate that your lung capacity is just peachy keen; and leave feeling that the not-feeling-so-great must all be in your own head -- despite the cracked and bleeding skin on your elbow and ring finger.

It's *NOT* all in my head, damnit.

Need to start the polling of the nutritionists. But at the moment just feel blue and unmotivated. A colleague's snarky, bitchy comment directed at me (thanks to my sister L for a sanity check that it was an uncalled for remark) doesn't help.

Crime drama time.

It is amazing how these kinds of remarks have the power to hurt. It's good when one's able to get outside support ("Yes, your co-worker's a twit; no, they were wrong and rude to say that") but it's really breathtaking how little that can make a dent sometimes. Maybe that's my experience and not yours, though, so I dunno. It's definitely better with the support, but dang.
