Greycie Loo is currently Between. As i looked down on her snuggled up to my hip and against Christine's back it occurs to me that cats and prepositions go together in a way that seems distinctly feline and not a general pet behavior. Cats are In the clean laundry (and the hat), On the bed, Under the chair. Dogs are running, sitting, sleeping.

T.S. Eliot - The Old Gumbie Cat
I have a Gumbie Cat in mind, her name is Jennyanydots;
Her coat is of the tabby kind, with tiger stripes and leopard spots.
All day she sits upon the stair or on the steps or on the mat;
She sits and sits and sits and sits--and that's what makes a Gumbie Cat!
