I don't know how i advocate for Christine publicly without discussing very sensitive and private subjects. What a stupid law.

I'm listening to Debt: The first 5000 Years and it underscores the interrelationship of patriarchal culture, debt, slavery, honor, policing female purity, and violence. It's a useful lens for looking at the apparent "Oh noes think of the childrens" reaction here vs gun violence.

Ah, there were a few memes about how legislatures will not act on gun control despite the concrete evidence of school shootings whereas the threat to young women in the bathroom (part of the rhetoric behind the NC law) seems rather overblown -- yet the incredibly quick approval track for NC's HB2 ... was incredible. Essentially, "why can't we get behind protecting people by implementing gun control as fast as we can pass laws regarding bathroom use?"
