Google just asked if i trusted them with my privacy. Hahahahahahaha. No. I compartmentalize to the best i can: i accept that they know my location. I should probably get back in the habit of using other search engines.

Yesterday i had planned on a rainy day and just puttering with the to do list, including days and days of backlogged rain gauge audio notes that need to be recorded. Instead, i read a collection of cozy fantasy short stories, and met many characters whose journeys i'd like to follow:

Yeah, can't trust Google with your privacy, and now you can't trust them with your searches either. Did you see the thing where if you search for something general, Google substitutes in a search term with a brand name so that they get more ad revenue? Not to mention the "AI" search result BS.

I've given up trusting any of them with anything, I figure they have everything anyway I just try to not click shady sites

the cozy vales book sounds like the comfort fiction i'd like to read right about now. it's grey and chilly here, too.

Since I am now in the UK I get to limit the information stripped from me. I need to repeat it pretty often, but I’m still really glad.
