I'm going to use the MoSCoW Method this year in marking my priorities. I think it will help me sort out the huge number of "nice to do" things in my life (the coulds) from the few but important Musts and the other huge pile of Shoulds. Then i can move on to finding the very powerful Won'ts that will help cut down the noise in Coulds and perhaps some Shoulds.

Spring is heavy on planning for me!

In creative space, i have one Must this spring: finish Mom's slippers! Y044.5.1 Mother's Day!

I know i need to set a time to use the photo consultation time i purchased in October. Y044.5.2 I think i'm just going to go with "help" as opposed to trying to figure out what i need to focus on next. (Oh, this is probably a Must: pick a date!)

I spent some episodes of Season 6 Doctor Who ball winding 1.2k yards of laceweight alpaca (hand dyed by [personal profile] laughingrat -- the mineral) and i've picked out a pattern on ravelry. I'm working on the swatch, now. Y044.5.3 In my mind, i have a huge project designed: using the alpaca on the body of the cardigan and then extending it in camel colored fiber (mercerized cotton?) and making a knitted shell out of the cotton with a decorative insert, using green-tone shell beads and buttons.... anyhow. Big design: i must get it started before i go on to any more designs.

I'm marking both of those as "Shoulds" but i'm not going to put time limits on them yet. (Except i went back and said i would pick a date for the photography work as a Must for this spring.)

I suppose i have some other shoulds. For some reason "camping" falls under "creativity" in my scheme (although also under "time").

So, shoulds for Spring include

* Plan "to dye for" for this year
* Plan for camping
* plan the wildflower & eclipse trips
* plan any created gifts
* "plan" the deck garden

In "coulds" there's a portrait challenge, starting another handtowel in my cotton crochet+knooking practice (this would be the mindless project until the sweater is able to fill that role), and some socks to finish from 2010. I could also inventory my unfinished projects. There's also the purse project rumbling in my mind: i could plan that, but not start it.

In won'ts: i won't buy more yarn before May. I won't plan any more projects!
