It's been some intense days as i worked on getting Product tested. Yesterday in the evening, i was done with the critical testing, and Christine and i went out to eat. We ended up first stopping for a perusal of the Asian grocery store downtown with an eye to rice noodles and rice crackers, then went to Sakoon Restaurant, an upscale modern Indian place. The decor is very entertaining by itself, with lots of glass mosaics glittering on the walls, modern furniture and giraffe furniture. They were busy, but offered to seat us upstairs in the Lounge. It was an interesting place to sit, with the ESPN plasma screen across from us seeming incredibly out of place. That, too, was entertaining, as we watched ECU lose a football game and then "American Gladiators." We definitely indulged (see below), and i relaxed. And i had a wine flight, because Christine wanted to try the claret, and it seemed like a wonderful indulgence.
Avocado Jhalmuri Aloo -- this was divine, cool & smooth mashed potatoes & avocado contrasting with the crunchy, spicy Jhal muri. "A mashed potato salad with ginger, onions, mint, baby tomatoes and avocado Jhal muri* salad in an anardana and dry mango vinaigrette" (The Jhal muri was the crunchy spicy sprinkles of toasted rice.)
Saag Pasand Se: Spinach and mustard greens - choose to include potatoes
Women wine makers wine flight:
* Savignon Blanc, Casa Lapostolle, Rapel Valle, Chile 2008 (Apparently, i am not a fan of wines with a "crisp finish".)
* Chardonnay, Lolonis, Redwood Valley, Mendicino County, California 2006
* Claret, Newton, Napa, California 2006 Yumyumyumyumyum
Home to bed. Up early this morning. With a hint of, i dunno, hangover? Six oz of wine? Or is it the spicy food? This morning i didn't know, but i still feel unpleasant.
Of course it doesn't help that Product has a horrible bug we discovered just in time and i've gone on a limb to commit we can test it and build it in time for a Monday -- any time still in "August" -- release.
And it's hot.

So here's Edward with a tube through his head.
