Well, i guess i wasn't following the instructions very well, because there a good number of things i don't consider small at all.
But yes, this has been good -- working in the yard is so good for me, and living near friends and family has been good for Christine. Family has been good for me too, but it's a dramatic improvement for Christine who was a complete hermit in Mountain View the last few years.
And working in the same timezone as most of my colleagues ahs been incredibly pleasant. The rhythm of the day is so much better: i have a quiet morning and then meetings in the afternoon.

And you seem to have hit a "perfect storm" of stress -- just the every 8 hours sick dog care plus work is a challenge. I hope the getting better slope continues in a positive direction.
