It really is powerful to be able to look back and review where we've been. Things i find myself wondering are terribly prosaic: what was i having for breakfast before i went to Europe in 2019? I came back and wanted rye bread and rye crackers, but before? I can't remember. When did we start eating dinner after 8? I think that's due to Edward's diabetes -- but what did we do before?

I feel similarly when i look back at photos of rooms we had in previous houses and this strange sense that, yes, that's how that part of our life was arranged for years. But i'm so settled in my way now it's hard to imagine it being different.
