So, the snow icons disappeared from our forecast yesterday afternoon, but http://isitsnowinginsanfrancisco.com/ says "IT WAS EARLIER, BUT NOT RIGHT NOW." Our low overnight was 29 °F. Perhaps i should have been more attentive to the plants.

I declare my birthday week beginning at 6 am. A week from now i'll be preparing for a memorial meeting at the Meetinghouse. I'll be back in a plane Monday-week. So let me be Now with my cardamon and chocolate spiced tea.

I wonder if i should begin playing with ruby on rails.

I wonder if i should fiddle with my retirement accounts. [Much time passes.] Well, mostly i didn't fiddle, but i did take the puny retirement account of my very first employment after grad school and move it all to bonds. Most of that was from one conservative investment to another, so it's just simplifying watching that particular bundle. But, i've looked at everything, and looked at the Dow Jones, and part of me wants to do profit taking or whatever it's called and pull money out as things go up, but since there's been a drop due to the gas prices, i don't want to contribute to that pull.
