I wish journal pdf's would translate to e-reader formats more elegantly.

One of my nephews is in the hospital, having fluid drained from his hip. My sister says lupus and RA have been ruled out. I've told her not to watch House. Latest news is that this is something like serum sickness, cascades of reactions based on a reaction to an antibiotic. I feel lucky i just coughed for a month after my reaction to an antibiotic in August.

I took yesterday off to go to a Bay Area Society for Organizational Learning event. This is a tiny step in following my tentative leading at moving in towards finding a way i can go manage -- lead -- somewhere i can be more passionate. Lesson 1: there are lots of people passonate about organizational development as consultants. No need to go that route!

I'm a little ashamed of my reaction to Andy Rooney's death. My experience of him and his 60 Minutes commentaries surely don't reflect all his gifts. Still, my first thought was that the hereafter gets to hear his complaints now.

I suppose it takes a whiner to know one. (She writes, looking up at the lede.)

Nephew's health continues to require medical care, but they still believe it is a short term reaction and not a longer term issue. Meanwhile, their house was broken into, TV stolen, etc, etc. Dog was OK: locked in a bedroom.

Dear Universe: STOP MESSIN WITH MY SISTER. Sternly, me.

In Creative News, i've knit a swatch using a knook and i love it. A Knook is a hacked crochet hook that allows attaching a cord to keep knitting stitches "on". I do NOT like perling. I'm pondering if i could not turn the fabric and knit from left to right instead of perling from right to left. I like the stockingette stitch much more than the garter stitch....
