Yesterday i sat much of my day at the pile of paper and found a desk underneath! Very cool, and just in time since i will work at home today. I am still phlegmatic in my coughing, and i suspect there will be a run to the grocery for more tissues some time today. I started my sickness trying to use handkerchiefs, but after a while i was far outstripping their capacity. Christine now remarks at the "dead soldiers" as we empty yet another box of tissue.

I think my sense of taste is coming back. Yesterday i ate a veggie patty, a brand i've had before, and i was overwhelmed by how salty it was.

I spent much of the day learning to use Zazzle and playing with image software. I finally found a use for a font i bought sometime back, Darjeeling. In retrospect, i'm surprised i made the investment, but I do love Optima. I've finally figured out what i have to do to get a 75% discount on cards at Zazzle, but i don't think i can manage to use 75 "2012" cards even if i use them as birthday cards throughout the year. Now that i've sorted out my way around Zazzle, maybe i can get off a few more designs today and use that to balance the order. And, who knows, maybe someone else will want my designs. (Although the 2012 cards will likely have a half life that's expired before they make it to the storefront.)

Last night was on a quick run to the grocery to use up the $10 coupon that would expire that day as well as picking up photo prints (for cards) and failing to collect the glasses i dropped off before Thanksgiving. I was listening to NPR and they reviewed The Deedle Deedle Dee's latest album. "That sounds like fun!" i thought and promptly bought the very last disk at Amazon for a nephew's birthday. On a whim, i bought the MP3 album, too. I'm listening this morning: it's a little too narrative to really focus on work, but this morning's email triage is pretty frustrating. It's good to have some entertainment.

....and now i've moved to the overwhelmed, it's all impossible, why the hell am i here reaction to the email. Must be time for lunch.
