When i arrived in the morning, the office water feature hosted a snowy egret, gulls, some mallards.
Driving home i noticed magnolias are still blooming. At home, yellow leaves have fallen from the willows.

The workday sped by. I arrived home around 6:30 and was able to focus on the few tasks i had set out for myself. Make a proper meal, with leftovers: done. Laundry: done. While the laundry ran i watched the light police procedural The Glades. Netflix labels this "Dark." This is dark? I think of dark as leaving one with reasons to doubt the goodness of human nature. All the characters in the Glades are sweeties, and they always come out happy, barring the soap opera narrative of the continuous love story. X-Files and Twin Peaks i might accept as Dark. This is comedic.

I also did a little crochet, happily finding just the right contrast yarn for the beret/cap i'm making for my nephew. He likes red, so i've worked an eight pointed star in a natural cotton, surrounded by red. The pattern had left gaps between some of the red and off-white, so i found a dark navy to fill in the gap areas, preserving the "look" of the pattern.

Netflix has a new continuous play where a second episode streams without interruption after the first. I wonder if i would have had the fortitude to switch to the Stats lecture i "want" to watch from the TV show. We'll see if tonight i can turn on the Stats lecture first thing. I can have that play on my laptop in rooms while i house clean a little tonight.

Go go motivation go! Between darkening evenings and Christine being out at classes, i know i have a challenge to not be a lump. Adding exercise to my evenings will come soon.
