Last night i spent looking at locations where certain flowers have been observed and planning out future flower hunts. Between the drought year and California's seasons, i've been expecting that flower hunts would need to wait until next spring. One of the locations i worked out on the border of Sonoma and Napa counties will need to wait. (I'm pondering a sleep in the car type camping trip to the location. The $35 camping fee is a good bit cheaper than any hotel in the area.)

Another location though, has a good variety of later blossoms, and is a good bit closer.
