Up early today, found the laptop power problem mentioned earlier. Did that truly keep me from switching to my work laptop promptly? Probably not.

Feeling like dealing with the personal stuff in front of me instead of the WORK THAT IS DUE, i wrote several Meeting related emails. Yay, they're done, but they weren't the CRITICAL PATH items.

I've now procrastinated to well into the east coast work day, but the laptop is charged up to some value. My tea is long finished and i'm on to a lemon grass and second-brew kemun to keep me warm.

I'm basically well. [1] The Power of Procrastination has fueled getting a few things done. I have packed business clothes for the trip, sadly realizing that some of my newer and nice slacks have no chance of fitting. I do have a nicely coordinated set of garnet and black clothes to take, but i realize i was wearing these at the time of the merger as well. I suppose i should plan some wardrobe improvements this coming year. I should try to hit the outlets in Gilroy for after Christmas sales, i think. (Shudder.) Yup there still appears to be a Liz Claiborne New York there (and a Jones New York). I guess i should watch http://www.premiumoutlets.com/outlets/sales.asp?id=23#storepromotions when i get back.

I did get wrapping done to some extent, but i'm punting on some things. Probably the most important thing yesterday and this morning was clearing my Oversight responsibilities for my absence -- yikes! Almost dropped one last thing, a ride to the dentist for someone without driving abilities.

Can i now harness the power of "I don't wanna" and turn it towards what i must do?

[1] Something's going on in my ear canal, some sort of pimple or infection or dermatitis that was definitely inflamed on Friday and Saturday, and i intuitively link it to the feverish sense i had those days. My Dyshidrotic eczema on my ring finger flared significantly on Saturday, but i've beaten it back.
