I find myself continuing in my productivity software path this morning, as Quicksilver, the application i use to launch applications, find data in various applications, search the web in different ways, freezes up yet again. It's become unstable over the past month, and i wondered what else was out there. I'll be trying Launchy and Alfred. [Initial ease of use award goes to Alfred.]

Last year i bought some end-of-year sale software from the Makers of MacFamily Tree. One seemed near useless and, worse yet, a CPU hog. It's a journal program which automatically captures some data from your use of the computer. It does do a weather check, and it has a simple "How do you feel today" interface with a scale of 1-5 depicted as a crying to smiley face.

As i work on acknowledging the transient nature of being well and hold up the times i *am well*, maybe it will be useful to use this little mood tracker with its weather link. The current release seems far more stable, so the cost of using it has dropped.

I ponder a FOGcon membership. I will be in NC for Quakers & Family for six days, home for about 11 days, off to Ohio for a work week (and was pondering meeting up with a friend after) -- and that's it, isn't it. If i want to see B it will be the same weekend as Fogcon (unless i see her the weekend *before* the Ohio meetings.

Quarterly Meeting is in SF soon.

Community is a curious thing.
