I managed to avoid doing a number of good for me things yesterday and binged on sugar. Oy, i have to stop with the sugar! I can tell it's no good for me, but when the craving hits, it's so hard. Why was i able to stay away so long?

One good for me thing i hesitate to share: it's cruel Mediterranean coastal climate taunting. I'd read [personal profile] wordweaverlynn's post about why we're all (here in the Bay Area) going to hell aloud to Christine previously. I was reclining on the deck, reading an annoying report from work, and Christine came out to mutter, "Hell, hell, hell, we're going to hell." But it was heavenly to enjoy the setting sun and the culmination of the day's warmth.

The warm spell is clearing out this weekend, but how delightful it's been.

I'm ordering my birthday tea, Mélange de Chamonix. If you have language sensitivity, you don't want to hear me butcher the French. "Fine India tea is blended with cocoa, cardamom, and a hint of cinnamon to produce a balanced and warming cup." I don't really need this yet as my birthday is over a month away, but i do want to get some of Upton's fruit tisanes for Christine to have as she's going caffeine free to reduce her sensitivity to pain. I may use the tisanes to flavor the Indian Red Label Lipton my mother gave me. Heavens knows how long it's been languishing in her cabinet.
