Christine and i walked to the nearby Mexican place last night and split a pitcher of Sangria with our meal. I was wiped out by that (plus the week), and slept a long nights sleep. The windows were open in our room, so as the fresh air tickled my chin and led me to burrow more deeply into the bed. "Why do i want to go camping?" i wondered, but i left the window open to begin acclimation to drafts.

Making tea this morning i let myself settle in the joy of seeing the yellow roses blooming on the deck, the planter of geraniums and nasturtiums that is now thriving after repotting, the chickadee, and the awareness of Christine's new mandola contralto. Her new instrument arrived Monday and is glorious. I want to make her mother of pearl and dark wood jewelry that echoes the inset mother of pearl on the fretboard for her to wear at concerts.

Meanwhile, my phone is behaving badly with a constant pop up error like, "The application google services framework (process com.google.process.gapps) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again." I'm going to try a factory reset.

That's a wonderful idea about the jewelry. The instrument sounds beautiful, too. I didn't know she was performing publicly!

I'm having that with drafts, too. The apartment's been so hot that when I go to bed at night, I am convinced I don't care if it's chilly by the morning (I run a box fan in the window by the bed), but when I wake up at four AM shivering, I suddenly do care. ;) Of course, that's what covers are for, but dang.
