[Friday morning's journaling!]

This week went well as we did "release planning," discussing and sizing and distributing all the work we need to do this quarter. I was constantly engaged, though, and this introvert is utterly exhausted. Also, the Anxious Folks who were in a dither about whether we would finish caused us to press forward hard, so we were done mid day Thursday. I would have much preferred a more sustainable pace.

Today i go in to visit with my new "director." Then i wish i could just hide from life and recover, but all the rest of my life would like some attention, i'm sure.

Last night, as i was winding down, we started the campy, low budget "Vegas in Space." The special effects and the model city made of martini shakers were entertaining, but there's only so much low budget watching we can manage. Star Trek: TOS is streaming again so i went to find an episode -- and we watched Mudd's Women. A perfect compare and contrast in technical special effects (tilt camera, actors lean), model views of the planet (Vegas in Space was better), model spaceships (tie when Mudd's was considered), beehive hairdos, and pills that muck with gender attributes. Both described women in a way i find alien to my experience, but so it goes.

I spent some time editing photos from our last camping trip this morning. I do love Lightroom! I can't say at this rate i'll be able to process Lassen and Joshua Tree photos any time soon, but it's nice to have this little escape. If i can do this instead of TV shows in the evening, i could actually start making some progress.
