Mr M is not well, much like he was not well when it turned out he had an infected ear bite. I can't find what ever is bothering him now, but i miss him. It has been hard enough to watch Edward (Mister E) supplant him in some ways, but for him to be so down causes a little heart ache. Also, a bit of worry, as Christine, manager of the menagerie, is off to manage her mother's move on Sunday. A vet trip tomorrow?

Meanwhile, Christine's been to chiropractor and her back aches. She's a much better sport about her back pain than i am: i whine a lot. I forget her back is hurt (*oy!* i let her carry in all those groceries last night! *idiot*)

Edward is out roaming the world. Yesterday, midday he started acting caged. He paced the perimeter and generally made a nuisance of himself. So, out we let him, and on to the roof, then down the sidewalk. He's hard on the worry box: keep him trapped inside, ever risking the day he *does* slip out? Let him roam like this? Or find an owner somewhere else where he *might* reduce his territory? At the moment, letting him roam seems acceptable. Hopefully he won't be as much as a nuisance to anyone else as he was before we took him in. This cat shows the impossibility of "owning" a cat.
