I'm sorry the heat got to you, and I hope you have your deck (and blinds) back soon. I don't know which forecast you read, but I've long thought my informed guesses are better than the National Weather Service - especially on weekends. I hate to be ungrateful to Sunne, who gives us so much bounty, but I could really use some coolth. I can't sleep very well when it's like this and I suspect the air's been bad, too.
