NASA rides from the train station by our complex in old school buses.

I have many mixed thoughts: "this demonstrates how the tech companies
are getting cars off the road," wars with many grumpy thoughts.

Yes that's the flaw in the loaner bike model - not always convenient to return them. Still very exotic even from here in Sunnyvale, given the number of bikes reported stolen each week. Closer to what happens to shopping carts, and I understand that until the crash in 2008, Sunnyvale employed someone to drive around town retrieving and returning shopping carts.
