Celebrating my day

1. I wrapped up the workday in a manner likely to lead to a productive Monday morning. Yay me.

2. I followed up on my laptop replacement to get a prorated refund on the Apple Care contract on the failed machine. The refunded the whole thing. YAY!

3. Six of the seven chestnut seeds i have been stratifying* in my fridge have sprouted!

Stratification is a sort of pretreatment for seeds to simulate the actual natural cycles that lead to germination.

Which mac has been the cause of so much trouble? I may need to replace my 2012 macbook air at some point this year.

I had a 2015 Macbook that's been replaced with this year's model. The theory was that there was something i had installed that might be causing the issue... it was a really hard to follow theory. Also, the power cord had been recalled.

The 2017 version of the Macbook seems to be doing fine --but i haven't installed the screen color changing app that tinkered with the kernel this time. Turns out the Sierra operating system has "night shift" which does the same thing.
