I have cutleaf grapefern in my front lawn! I was astonished the first time it popped up in August. We live in a developed neighborhood in town, and the area was farmed before that. Yet somehow the spores and the necessary mycorrhizae survived. All fall, I carefully mow around the patches where it grows.
