And ugh #3, after spending an hour getting Mom's appointments in the calendar Monday night, it looks like 1/3 of them were changed yesterday late afternoon.

Yeah, we've been using bonded DSL, and we were using DSL in California. Apparently, i went into the office frequently enough that no one commented about bandwidth issues, and i haven't thought it was _that_ bad with VC. But apparently it stands out as bad. So, we've tried fixing things, including a new router. Apparently the router is helping.
My sister's house is painfully slow, so i count my blessings.
