I'm restoring my iPod, hoping that is sufficient to allow me to turn it on and off once again, thus saving the charge on the device etc. A teensy bit of me is saying, "You know if it's really broken, we could get new iPod with the sweet camera." But the rest of my mind is thinking, "That's awfully expensive for an alarm clock: $50 a year?" Received in 2007.

In gadget desire, my new covet device is this Alex device. The Android device coupled with the reader creates an intriguing device, although i've no idea how well one can type on the virtual pad with all the weight of the device cantilevered out in front of one. Poor balance i suspect.

Buying a new gadget is not on my wish list, actually, nor is it part of my goals.

0. Time

* Have made music plans (thanks to a free ticket from a friend) and coffee with friends plans
* She's Geeky conference at end of Jan
* Oversight (which we may change to "Pastoral Care"), Library committees, "Warm Winter Nights" -- Friday nights at the meetinghouse to craft or play or do light work, and the women's reading group

Thus ends my bandwidth for January. I may drop the women's reading group, too.

I skipped last night.

* I am undecided about the Friends' LGBTQC concerns retreat. I have to commit next week, i think, and i just can't believe i will have the energy to go and come back with energy.
I will not go. I now want to write a letter to the community -- invited those others from my meeting not going to meet and write with me.
* I will need to use (a few?) more days at the end of Feb for my Bday.
* If i don't go away in Feb, that's three vacation days unused -- perhaps i should plan to take that work vacation.
* Still have two sets of Movie tix

* FOUR lessons in Waverly F's New Year workbook. Do on Saturday mornings? Started!

1. SELF - some of these health oriented things have been added to my daily health chart

* Writing habits - Goal check in and Care check
* Eye appointment I ought to figure how much flex is left over from 2009 and find some glasses i like.
* Regular health charting Continuing and not bad
** Diet - Low wheat (no bread, pasta), but not gluten-free (eg: malt flavoring). Low refined sugar. Refined sugar continues to be hard, but keeping it to the evening.
** 20 min of exercise 3x week, hope for daily movement: Asthma flare no fun, but did walk a little yesterday and have had some other walks.
** Oils, vitamin D, & querc supplements as advised Querc less reliably. Added in calcium at lunch if i remember the Querc.
** Roomba & sheet changing None this past week. HEPA filter for Roomba on the way.

* what to do about transformation "goals?" Sunday's reflections on worship and ministry were disruptive, my reflections on being attached to something around friends and family, around relating also interesting.

* Y042 thoughts Finishing Niobium year, next year will be Molybdenum. Not progressing with the mindhack of using the Periodic table to memorize numbers. Added a list through Einsteinium 99 to my Notebook.

2. F&F

I'm less pleased with my correspondence this week, identifying it as some sort of attachment, some sort of mental trap around the ideas of these relationships at a distance. I called two folks yesterday from the car. I ordered legos for a valentines day creation. I note that Nate & Mindy will be in the area the next month.

* Some sort of Yule/New Year's greeting to friends and family
** Greetings to doctors?
** Greetings to additional art folks?
** Thank you notes?
* Finish shibori handkerchiefs
* Valentine's greetings to fill the gap of missed New Year's greetings

* CALL GRANDPARENTS ON CHRISTMAS! (Graceful absence for Christine re Granddad?) Grandmama called 100111. Her birthday is coming up!
* book order for kibbles reading (into jan) Have one of the two books, having difficulty reading it

3. COM

* library work fluttered around last Friday.
* oversight: committee creation Done for November!
* DGM: read documents and send notes to J untouched

† Because i have such a mental confusion with counting time units, these are labeled referring to the completed time period†† (retrospective) not the approaching time period (prospective).

†† I've two periods that are a quarter of a year long each: May 1-ish to August 1-ish; August 1-ish to November 1-ish. Then there's the holidays: November and Dec, winter: Jan and Feb, and spring: March and April.

The good news: despite being under the weather and feeling unhealthy, unmotivated, i made progress. I reminded Christine this morning she'd made progress, too: wrapping up the python project (which had unhappy baggage) and selling the scooter (long since replaced by the Honda). It's glacial, compared to my wishes, my dreams. But it is progress.

The bad news? The iPod nano restored still won't sleep. I trigger reboots periodically when trying to get it to sleep. Looks like it's going to be plugged in overnights for a while. Then, i may take over one of Christine's. (She had bought one for her mother one year, but that didn't work out.)

The bad news
