We have. Our well is in an only slightly sheltered location, so we ran a drip of water to keep it from freezing up, and we ran some halogen lamps in the garage pointed at our water filtration system. The filtration system seems less efficient when cold (and so we have muddy water then) but this kept water clear for this morning. If was just one cold night i don't think i would bother but it's several cold days in a row without particularly warming up. One year our well DID freeze, so it seems like we're not overreacting.
It can get to -15C here, it's more common to have a cold snap like we have right now around -10C. We're at the same latitude as North Africa: i know so many other folks get MUCH colder!
