I'm corresponding with my doctor (who gets journal length messages i then try to edit down to something a busy person can read). She's suggesting that we do the annual physical with the bloodwork to measure cholesterol, thyroid, blood count, and chemistry panel, and vitamin B12.
While on the site i wondered what the internal database would have to say about my symptoms.
Well. There you go.
I was curious why she was testing B12. I see that there's some thought that some [1] B vitamins[2] would help canker sores. B12 isn't one of them. Also , my daily B12 supplement i've been taking since the beginning of September doesn't come CLOSE to enough B1 & B6. Hmm.
[1] 300 mg B1 daily, 20 mg B2 daily, 150 mg B6 daily recommended for canker sores
[2] The vitamin B-complex refers to all of the known essential water-soluble vitamins except for vitamin C. These include thiamine (vitamin B1), riboflavin (vitamin B2), niacin (vitamin B3), pantothenic acid (vitamin B5), pyridoxine (vitamin B6), biotin, folic acid and the cobalamins (vitamin B12).
