It's overcast at the moment: the day has been changeable. Pink pom-pom flowers hang in the eucalyptus, and the pom-pom cherries are blooming. The Meyer lemon is in bloom and four green lemons hang from its branches.

I'm intrigued this site, Listia, which allows you to list things you want to give away (in exchange for points) and you can bid on things (in points).

This is my referral code for the site: http://www.listia.com/signup/417653

it seems like it's going back to the early days of eBay when everyone was expected to be both buyers and sellers, and it seems like it might be an interesting way to essentially trade craft stash items or books or CDs you don't want for items you do.

I think if you are just trying to get rid of things, you might as well go with Freecycle. With this system, i think it's a little more exchange oriented. There's also the point that some things are just better picked up instead of shipped. Listia does support "for pick up" but i don't have a sense of the geographic range and density.

I'm pondering getting rid of some computer cables.
