Clouds and coolness return. We checked the weather before planning meals for the week: a good thing as my mind was ready to turn to summer fare, but we're not there yet! I'll be making corned veat to go with cabbage and potatoes later in the week, curried tarot and yams another night.

I remain frustrated in my desire to discover why there was such a long power outage: the "Patch" news this morning focussed on gossip about the private life of Thomas Kinkaide, the comments a long back and forth of (evangelical) Christian moralizing and conservative gender roles. Perhaps one of the interesting things about the thread of comments is just how culturally narrow they seem, a slice of a world view with the diversity within that frame.

(no subject)

I'm giving my fancy recording pen to a colleague to use in our kickoff meeting because New Director sent instructions for the presentation preparation for the 9 am meeting tomorrow at 8:31 today, and wants the work done by the end of the day. I feel for my colleagues in the Eastern Daylight Time zone.

The cool thing is i get to listen (whatever is recorded) in the meeting i missed.

My pretend boss called me as soon as i sent her a "huh???" about the instructions. New Director isn't on skype so i am txting him.

I am sufficiently amused by the comedy value here to not be bent out of shape. Also, still have the "nothin' to loose" attitude i developed in January.
