Spring had barely started around March 15 (Yes, i was worried for the blueberries) and now the green wall is closing up around us. I could still see slivers of daylight around the horizon yesterday morning.

The rain lily bloomed in the afternoon, and the front apple has lots of pink flowers. I wonder if we will have miracle apples again. (Presumably, some bee is carrying pollen from some other apple tree in someone else's back yard.) I think the real miracle is that the apple tree survives with the horrible burden of cedar apple rust. I guess i should try spraying with a fungicide this weekend. (Neem or copper.)
Meanwhile, there's a frost advisory to our west and a hazardous weather statement that "Areas of frost will be possible Saturday night and Sunday morning." to our east, but somew how Chatham county is free of risk? The temps low enough i will cover plants just to be on the safe side. The blackberry is covered with flower buds. I missed a frost and think i lost some of the possible blue berries, but after trellising the blackberries I care.
I just read a number of extension articles: it sounds like the rabbiteye blue berries are the most at risk. I need to get some southern highbush blue berries.

Thanks everyone for your sleep apnea encouragement. ( long blather )
