I am in discomfort, with many different places scabbing, blistering, or lumpy. I can give some small thanks that none are in particularly visible locations. Nonetheless, i don't feel i can be physically attractive. I am having a bit of anniversary angst, because i have an ulcer under my tongue, much like those that made me miserable last summer. They started about this time of year.

And last year at this time, i was working late, early and weekends to get an environment running for ALA. Admittedly, last year, it was global team work with other developers. This year i'm just working with the Dublin operations staff. And i'm trying to carve time out, but i'm so exhausted that i'm just watching shows with my not-work time, it feels like.

It's been six weeks since my boss was laid off.

I've probably PMSing.

I have requested a dermatologist appointment, so i'll see if i can get something stronger for my scalp, and if there's something different that can be done for other areas. I have little hope. My impression is that dermatologists have preferred topical steroids, and that minimizing stress is the systemic answer.

Good idea! I'll work on minimizing stress.

I am captivated by the idea that we could go backcountry camping in the Grand Tetons and be there for the total solar eclipse in 2017.

There's a place called Indian Lake in the back country that's right on the totality line. There's no trail there, but Google turns up some hits:

http://www.backpacker.com/five_hikes_grand_tetons_wyoming/destinations/12441

" A strong party can do it as a two-day trip, but taking three to four days allows a moderate pace and lets you enjoy some of the park's best backcountry campsites (the plums are Indian Lake, Death Canyon Shelf, and Alaska Basin). Hike the trail up Open Canyon to just west of Mt. Hunt Divide; then head off-trail up Hunt's east ridge to its summit. Continue west (look for goat trails) to a 10,500-foot saddle north of Indian Lake," -- and we could stop there; i've no desire to continue through the cliff climb.

Christine's thinking she could do a viewshed analysis with Arc GIS (simulating where the mountains will be on the horizon, so we can ensure we can *see* the eclipse). And we could do a test hike and camping the year before.

*hugs* God, that's crappy. I really, really hope you don't wind up with the chronic mouth ulcers again.
