Stupid insurance battle between UNC Health and UnitedHealthcare. I wish i had a choice as to which i could ditch. Probably not a good use of time for me to be poking around, but i am tired of reading posts in the community about how greedy UNC Health is being. UHC seems to have plenty of contract negotiation battles on their hands, some of which sound familiar.

we had issues with them in NJ and with Blue Cross too!! I HATE for profit insurance, bunch of scamming scumbags
If UNC were greedy ALL the insurance companies would have issues with them. When I found out I was getting Medicare and qualified for a Medicare Advantage plan I told the gentleman helping me choose that I would absolutely NOT go with any of the big commercial carriers (BC/BS, Aetna, UHC and on and on)
I ended up choosing Alignment Health out of California and have been surprised again and again and again at how nice it is to not deal with a bunch of people who can and do actually HELP.
I got a call the other day about my most recent hospital stay - I wasn't aware they knew anything about it, Duke doesn't have any of my private healthcare info. Even with it being a work comp issue they've still offered home care, medical support, supplies, transportation and a litany of other services and care.
Jeff has UHC too and we use UNC as our provider. His meds haven't been covered correctly lately - wonder when the government is going to step in after people start writing the stuff off on their taxes

I'm so sorry.
We all know who loses most.
