Whee! I've contributed my first observation to CalFlora. Calflora didn't list Chenopodiaceae: Salsola tragus as being in Santa Clara, so i've added it!

It's a lovely tiny flower: i'm sad to find the plant is a noxious weed.

This morning's botanical classification "discoveries". (I'm sure there is more accurate educational jargon for learning new things, particularly correcting misapprehensions and assumptions): ( Liquidambars, Sycamores, and Plane Trees )
