In wonderful scheduling news, my 8:30 has been moved to 9:30. For my colleagues in the eastern time zone, this means they get a short lunch before returning to their desks. They suggested it. Huzzah, huzzah.
In stress news, i woke thinking of work. I am not scheduled to death this week, and so my brain is trying to sort out priorities. They all squeal for attention.
In, "I'm turning into my mother," news, i realized it was so as i was washing up dishes before 6 am.
In Grammar news, a question: I know the commas offsetting the quoted section above is correct for a quotation, to indicate someone speaking. But is it correct for the use i've applied? I think it's silly, and normally would have left them out. It seems quoted phrases, when not indicating a direct quotation, should be treated differently, more in the flow of the sentence. No pause.
In moon news, it hangs high overhead at 6 am, its half illumined face shining down on the deck, stars spangled out around it. A fine layer of clouds with gauzy braids shimmers between moon and earth.
( We now turn to our lead story, my energy level yesterday. )
