Taking a quick midday break. My morning time was eaten by a bug in evernote and by reading
Yesterday i observed early on that i seemed to have no diplomacy left. The gentle wording and listening skills i had used so much last week left little capacity for any softness when i reengaged with work.
In the early afternoon i felt terribly weary, so i thought i'd sit down and listen to a half hour of the audio book i had listened to on the plane. And then i listened to another half hour. And then i just didn't want to bother with work at all and i zoned out the rest of the afternoon and on into the evening.
I also ate the remainder of Christine's crunch berries cereal (sugar glued together with corn flour) and a bag of potato chips.
I'm rather imagine i fell asleep before my head hit the pillow.
I suppose i shall indulge in coffee and soy milk this afternoon, avoiding the other high processed foods. I'm pretty sure the binging was an attempt to accumulate some energy; coffee will be more reliable as a stimulant.
Re-entry may not be as dramatic as the Mars rover's "seven minutes of terror," but it is re-entry nonetheless.
