Gah.
Today was more crisis circus. It is day 8 of the 10 days of readiness testing before the install, and we're finally at the point where developers can help troubleshoot the night mare. Which means i was making sure my lead engineer was diagnosing configuration snafus before 9 am and was still watching the mail at 7 pm.
I thought we were making a go/no-go call at 5 pm Eastern.
I did slip out to have my teeth cleaned, a delightful break.
The Cassandra stuff kicked off this morning when the operations staff asked New Director about whether the four-part domain names should go in. New Director replies with, "[Elaine]? [Elaine's Product Person]?"
Later that day one of the planning engineers was muttering about how the four-part domain names change was on New Director's plate and New Director had admitted such. "There's not enough alcohol for some problems," he said. (In other meetings, he's wrapped up asides about New Director by concluding that was only an appropriate topic if we had Jim Bean at hand.)
Gah, i'm not doing Meeting things i need to do.
I really want to go to sleep, but fear i'll awaken again at 4:45. Then again.... given that i need to leave the house at 7 to get in the office for a video conference....

Health note: i appear to have the "neuralgia" on my right cheek today.
Christine's practicing her tremolo scales in the corner of the living room, in her little music nook, while i sit here on the lounge and tippity-tap. She's got a plush Kokopelli from the Phoenix airport playing with her.
I've hung amber diode lit clear plastic pinecones around our entry door. In December i'll switch them for blue and white diode lit plastic snowflakes. I think these cones will look more attractive on the Yule tree than they do around the door.
I think one of our cats is in the open hall closet... yes, Greycie Loo was nested among the camping gear. The closet is open because i had to dig out the jumper cables. Sooner or later we need to give Josie the Jeep a charge.
