Dear [primary care provider],

Thank you so much for helping with that paperwork for when i was sick in late December. It was somewhat confusing how the Health Records division managed things, but it all worked out.

I'm writing now to ask if it would be appropriate to try a round of antibiotics for my sinuses. They have been draining in the form of post nasal drip for a month, since the cold around 18 Dec. I can breathe through my nose, mostly, but the drainage seems to have deadened my sense of taste and smell except for the bad taste in my mouth. In the past week the drainage has thickened and is at times yellowish, sometimes with little strands of red (blood, i assume). I have sinus pressure headaches, and i've moved on to taking over the counter sinus formulations.

I'm tired of the discomfort and drainage.
