Having a lovely time with my sister. Saw ospreys, what we think was a teen that the parents were encouraging to fly. My 96 year old grandmother seems like she's doing wonderfully, if a bit hard of hearing (which might explain withdrawn look she occasionally had). Her husband is a little subdued but definitely looking fabulous for having a massive heart attack in December. My mother has all sorts of concerns she won't tell me, saying she would wait for my & my sister's report. I am happy to say that i am unable to suggest any terrible emotional dynamics between her and her husband. In fact, she looks great for 96.

She did nag me about my weight. I only put up with it because she's 96, and i remain rather emphatic that i don't care about my weight.

I do care about finding clothes that fit, which does make me aware of various diameters.

My face is having an eczema reaction: i have removed the lotion i used the last two trips. I am now just blaming heating and air conditioning. We barely heat the apartment, and have no airconditioning, so that -- plus stress, my sister and i crow in imitation of my mother's obsession with stress as the root cause of all ill health -- remains my suspect.

We are off for a visit with our grandmother, and then a hike and picnic with our aunt.
