I forgot to mention that the Best Buy folks had given us a nice three hour window on Tueday for delivery. During that window we got the call that the team had checked the dishwasher and found it was ... missing parts??!! ... and a new one would be ordered.

The new delivery date is 26 August. Good grief.

it never ends when it comes to stuff like this I swear!! Time to bug them for a discount for sure, it's their fault they didn't check the product before delivery
at least it's still Aug and not Sept at least?

I may not have been clear: it was Maytag that was missing stuff. BestBuy checked before they got here and rescheduled. My impression is they are trying to deliver as soon as they receive it, which -- if it went well -- meant we got it faster. I don't quite see asking for a discount based on that. Best Buy certainly experienced a loss that Maytag might need to make right.
